STUFFED – By Lucy Joy Russell and Holly McFarlane

Kim and Jack are trying for a baby. Trying pretty hard. Their friends are having kids left, right and centre. A small army of doctors offer well-meaning advice but no actual answers. And nobody’s getting any younger…

But the further they go, the more they start to wonder, what is this all for? STUFFED is a brand new comedy about friendship, fertility and the choices we make.

‘Do you know what I think the secret to getting pregnant is, Kim? Being happy. Every time I’ve got pregnant I’ve just felt…unbelievably happy.’

Seriously, a comedy about fertility?

Almost everyone know someone who has problems with making babies, even if they haven’t shared it with you yet.

1 in 7 couples in the UK has difficulty conceiving a baby, and on average 75% of IVF cycles will fail.  It’s an industry built on a lot of hope, a little science and maybe, just maybe, if you’re lucky, a ball of screaming joy at the end of it. The NHS can’t afford to help much and any other route is eye-wateringly expensive. Frankly, if your doctor asked you for ten grand just to tamper around with your insides and stick chicken protein in your veins you’d laugh too.

The more we all know the more we can laugh together so STUFFED is the story of a couple who live through the process, the strangeness they meet on the journey and how they come out the other side.
